I finished my final radio interview today. I’ve been interviewed by Moms in the Morming in Charleston, Ocala Live in Florida, Marifaith Mueller in Illinois, Rick Shepard at WKYE-FM in Pittsburgh, Shelley Irwin in Michigan, John Clemens on USA Radio and for Fiction Nation on Sirius XM’s Cover to Cover programme. What a blast. I loved chatting to everyone over the country and everyone was so friendly and nice, I almost got used to sitting in my pjs chatting away to someone in Dallas about my book.

The weather in NYC has been beautiful - hot and sunny but not too hot, and cool at night. I am staying at the lovely Jane Hotel, in the heart of the West Village. It is where they brought the Titanic survivors in 1912. Just around the corner is the Highline park (where the old railroad went up through Chelsea which is now a beautiful long thin walkway high up through Manhattan) and the Meatpacking district.

I have been working hard too - doing the rewrites on my new novel, though I have done my shoulder and back in with RSI (carpal tunnel syndrome) which is quite literally a pain, though I have these great strap on heat pads you put on the affected area which heat up and glow. Crazy!

It was fantastic to see my lovely publishers at Simon and Schuster. We went to the Breslin Bar at the Ace Hotel which was fantastic. They had drinks for me in the boardroom at S&S which is in the Rockefeller Center, right where they film 30 Rock, so I was very happy! Saw Promises Promises with Kristen Chenoweth and wonderful Sean Hayes from Will and Grace, which was fantastic.

Broadway shows, cocktails, a trip to Target, hot weather, US Weekly magazine, catching up with old friends - hurrah for NYC.
