We are seeking a motivated and creative commissioning editor to work with Coronet’s publisher to drive the list; acquiring and developing predominantly non fiction titles across a range of subjects including memoir, humour, narrative non fiction, popular culture and history.
Who we are and what we do
Coronet is a boutique imprint within Hodder & Stoughton. We publish smart, original and contemporary bestsellers in non fiction and fiction. Our authors represent a rich diversity of ideas, perspectives and voices, including Graham Norton, Sara Cox, Brian Catling, Hannah Jewell, Nell Dunn and Joe Lycett.
What you will be doing
We are looking for a strong commissioner who will bring in smart and commercial books, alongside working on and championing Coronet’s existing authors and titles. Reporting to the publisher, you will be responsible for helping to build on existing projects and bring in new and profitable ones.
What we are looking for
With at least two years of experience, you will be a creative and commercially-minded editor; you are likely to have a track record in commissioning successful and market focused non-fiction in areas such as memoir, humour, popular culture and history. We are looking for someone who is a clear and effective communicator, dynamic, enthusiastic and energetic, and excited to work as part of a small and committed team.
