Spring events

Hello! I'm doing three events in the next couple of weeks, and as ever, I should have been on it like a car bonnet and told you about them but I have been doing this weird thing called writing instead. But spring is here and I emerge! Like a butterfly! from its chrysalis! Hope to see some of you there and I will be adding new events as and when. xx
On Thursday 19th I'm at the Gainsborough Hotel for a wonderful evening of talking about books and writing and how to start on your writing journey should you so wish, with some gentle encouragement and stories about how I got going. Please join me, it's going to be really special, and I will answer any and all questions, and even if you don't want to write and just want to find out what being a writer is like this is for you.
On Saturday 21st I'm with Nussaibah Younnis and I'm interviewing her for the paperback publication of her wonderful novel FUNDAMENTALLY. I met Nuss last September at a festival (this is the great thing about festivals, you meet other writers) and I fell in love with her, she is absolutely amazing. FUNDAMENTALLY has rightly been a huge success in HB and especially at the moment it is an incredible book but more than that it is absolutely brilliant; funny, piercing, hugely enjoyable and very, very clever. This is also true of Nuss so it will be a great event, please come.
On Tuesday 25th 6pm I will be at the Oxford Literary Festival with Joanna Miller, talking about books and our books in particular (the Eights was one of the best debuts of last year and it's set in Oxford and I loved it), and it looks like this event is sold out ??!!! which is incredible, but I am asking if they can add more tickets. This will be with Lucy Atkins, a deeply wonderful soul and writer. My idea of a great evening and I get to go for free. Hope to see you there.
